Turns out the Tangzhong bread dough also makes some really nice pizza. My spouse and I have been making this pizza for a few weeks now – and it always gets eaten straight away!
Follow the bread recipe to step 5, using about half the sugar called for in the recipe. When the dough has proofed, complete the recipe by following these steps:
Step 6. take a piece of dough the size of a tennisball and use a rolling pin to flatten it out into a thin round (3-5 mm thick depending on your preference). You can use a bigger piece of dough if you want a bigger pizza.
Step 7. Transfer your pizza base to a warm place to rise for 15 minutes. Heat the oven to 225-250°C (around 440-480°F).
Step 8. Add tomato sauce, toppings, spices and cheese to your pizza.
Step 9. Bake in hot oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the base has begun to turn golden brown.
Step 10. Take the pizza out of the oven and serve immediately. Repeat as necessary.
